A-Ga-Ming It is.

I have booked A-Ga-Ming for the Coptic Ryder Cup III for June 1-3, 2007.

At this point it looks like we will have two four-bedroom condos (8 guys each) on the Sundance Course and one two-bedroom condo (4 guys) on the Torch Course.

We have tee times on Saturday morning on the Sundance Course starting at 8:50 a.m. and starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Torch Course. In addition, we have tee times for Saturday afternoon at 4:30 on the Sundance Course for an optional 9 holes ($25). On friday afternoon we have tee times starting at 4:30 for 9 holes ($15) on the Torch Course.

Saturday evening @ 7:30 pm we will be having a Burger and Brat cookout at the clubhouse of the golf courses.

There has been some interest in making this a US v. Canada contest. I will be honest and say that I am interested in such a format but not in this event. I am more than willing to help plan a US. v. Canada or Michigan vs. non-Michigan tournament at some other time in the summer. What does everyone else think?

I need feedback with regards to the two optional rounds (friday 4:30 and saturday 4;30) How many are interested? Should it be part of the tournament? How about we have some people play friday and some people play saturday? How about making those the singles matches?

In memory of our dear friend Nader Hafzalla, we will be honoring him in some way. Please feel free to provide ideas/thoughts etc.

I think at least for this year we should maintain the format of the Coptic Ryder cup since this is the year where the juniors are taught a lesson to respect their elders.

Playing 9 Holes in Singles Format sounds like fun. Maybe a different set of points should be given for the singles matches as they will only be 9 holes. Possibly having the Better Ball matches worth 2 points and the singles matches worth 1? It is just an idea for people to ponder.

If I am not mistaken, it gets dark pretty late up there at that time of year so even if we tee off a little later on - we should still be able to finsish 9 holes before it gets dark. My only concern is people who have to drive a long way on Friday will probably not be able to/ or want to golf right when they get there.

As for the honoring of Nader - I think we should have some sort of award that goes out to the "BEST DRESSED NADER STYLE GOLFER"!!!! His fashion on the golf course left many people breathless!!!!

Fuji may already have the inside track on that award though.....so please think of other ways so that we can all share in his honor!!!

we can do us vs canada some other time. this year is the rubber match: old guys 1; young guys 1

i'm not so sure everyone would be able/willing to do 9 when we arrive on friday, although i'd be willing to do an extra 9 on saturday...so long as i don't miss the bbq. also, what are the odds of us trying some different formats other than match play or best ball? maybe even a skins match? let that marinate.

as for nader...how about the idea of a tournament mvp in his name with a trophy or something like that? last time i checked, we all pretty much look the same (in terms of clothing), with the exception of a little plaid here and there.

That's real close to Canada would I need a passport? Count me in. Friday might be tough though. Can you rent clubs there?
