Countdown to an ass whopping

Friends, Countrymen and our counterparts from Canadia.

In less than 3 days we will be representing our countries in a friendly competition on the glorious golf courses of North Michigan. OK. . . . . . . Sorry Canada, don't take the ass whopping that you will be receiving personal. . . . . its just a reminder of your inferior standing in the game of life. . . . . .

Here is a tenative schedule for the weekend

Friday Night. . . 2 pm - 7 pm Check-in and practice round. (Anyone wanting to play a practice round on friday afternoon, please contact the pro shop for Cedar River to schedule a tee time) The cost is not included as part of the package but there is a special rate of $45. Everyone MUST check in at the Summit Hotel . . . even if you are staying at the house which is about 10 minutes away. You will receive golf vouchers and the meal vouchers when you check in

7pm - 11pm Meet at the house, BBQ, introduction, and pairings.


Saturday Morning. . . . . . The Lakeside Dining room at the Summit will have breakfast beginning from 6:30 (they may have a breakfast buffet). All packages include two $10 vouchers to be used for food at the resort.

8:00 ARRIVE AT CEDAR RIVER READY TO PLAY at 8:30. . . . . We have tee times starting at 8:40am on Saturday morning at Cedar River (approx a 5 min drive from the Summit hotel or the house at Schuss Mountain). There is a practice facility, driving range and putting green, at Cedar River. ARRIVE EARLY AND BE READY TO PLAY. . . WE CAN NOT HAVE 6 HOUR ROUNDS ANYMORE. . . . the staff at the golf course is going to instruct you to skip holes if you do not keep up with the pace of play. PLAY READY GOLF. . . This is a scramble format. . . . .accept loosing a lot of balls. We have tee times from 8:40 to 9:40 the first group should finish no later than 1:20 and the last group should finish no later than 2:20

1:45 - 3:00 MEET AT CEDAR RIVER TO UPDATE SCORES. . . . . . .

3:30 - 4:30 Singles Matches at the Legend (the clubhouse for the Legend is located right outside the summit hotel. 9 hole singles match play. . . you can play as many holes as you want, the competition is only based on the first 9 holes. There are tee times made for guys who want to play but not in the competition.

7:30 - Meet at the house, Summary of scores, and Dinner.


Sunday Morning

Breakfast at the Lakeview Dining room begins at 6:30

8:00 Arrive at Cedar River . . . be prepared to start at 8:40 . . .Tee Times are begining at 8:50 until 9:40

1:30 - 2:30 . . .Meet at the lounge at Cedar River to finalize the scores and the trophy presentation.

The House and the Hotel rooms need to be empty by noon on Sunday.

We will be providing hamburgers, sausage, chili, steaks, beer, water, and pop.
