Gentlemen:

It looks like we will have Canada v. US for the 4th annual Ryder Cup. The Canadian resprentative John Iskander has informed me that there are 8-10 confirmed golfers with a possibility of 2 more. It appears that from the US side we will have between 10-12 golfers.

At this point I need rooming preferences (hotel room vs. house) and who you want to room with if you choose the hotel, to finalize things with Shanty Creek. The final price will be between $195-$200 depending on the final number of golfers. If you don't respond, I will assume that you don't care and will decide on my own. The deadline is Friday. . .either leave a comment or send me an email.

I have made tee times for both mornings at Cedar River and for Saturday afternoon for the Legend. I personally thought that Cedar River was a superior course to the Legend and preferred to play it twice. For those that want to play the Legend, you can play it on saturday afternoon. If this is objectionable, please provide feedback.

Shanty Creek can provide a large grill at the house for us for a fee of $50 per day. I think this is a good idea. . feel free to object . . . the majority wins. . . .provide feedback. . .

1 six bedroom house with 11 beds (Sorry, 1 King bed to be shared by two guys). The rest of the guys will be staying at the Lodge (2 guys per room - 2 double bed). The tee times below are based on 24 guys golfing.

It looks like we are going back to site of the First Annual Ryder Cup in 2005 for the 2008 edition. Shanty Creek resort has offered the best package. It is as follows:

2 nights lodging, one large house (5 bedrooms) on the Schuss Mountain Golf Course for up to 12 guys and the remaining guys in hotel rooms at the Lodge. Each guy will have his own bed.

2 days of unlimited golf on any of the courses (Legend, Cedar River, Shanty Creek, or Schuss Mountain)

Free range balls, etc,

$20 of food vouchers. There is a breakfast buffet for $10 per person that is real good.

Free transportation within the resort

Cost per person approx $195

That means we will be going back to the scene of the infamous PROMGATE at the 18th hole of Cedar River and the site of Billy Ersan's famous 2 foot putt on the 18th hole of the Legend to win his match and create a tie for the first annual Coptic Ryder Cup.
