I hope to use this Blog as a way to provide updates, get opinions, post pics, finalizing schedules, etc. . . but mostly to trash talk. Andy, try and explain to Juju that the 4th of July is celebrated on the 4th day of July NOT THE FIRST DAY OF JULY. You may have to use pictures. HAHA
The tentative dates for the Third Annual Coptic Ryder Cup have been established. We have scheduled it for June 1-3, 2007. The purpose of pushing it back was to get some better conditions. It is no fun playing in a cold rain. Also the tournament will start on Friday afternoon not Saturday. We will have 9 holes on Friday afternoon (5ish) and 18 holes on Saturday and sunday. An optional 9 holes on saturday afternoon is also being discussed.
The location is tentatively Lakewood Shores Resort www.lakewoodshores.com. I have also looked at A-Ga-Ming, www.a-ga-ming.com, Shanty Creek www.shantycreek.com, Treetops www.treetops.com, Otsego club www.otsegoclub.com and Boyne www.boyne.com
A-Ga-Ming appears to be the best price option and Lakewood Shores is the shortest drive.
Please provide comments and opinions.

mark,
from looking at lakewood shores website, it seems that there are only bedrooms available in the hotel and not a house/condo....am I correct?
It seemed much easier last year for everyone to congregate when we had a house....
just a thought
I am voting for Lakewood Shores, lets try something new. Besides a shorter drive will allow us more time to hang or play.
The best deals so far are:
A-Ga-Ming.
For two round and two night in condos the price is $214.
Otsego:
Three round, two night, and a dinner for $250. The lodging is in hotel rooms but she is looking at seeing a price for 1 condo and a bunch of hotel rooms.
I like the thought of better weather for sure. When you say closer - exactly how much closer is it. Are we talking 20 mins closer or 2 hrs? I am sure that we will end up at the best possible place anyway.
BTW - I think the mix-up is due to Juju's main squeeze being Canadian. July 1st is a Holiday in Canada. That might help explain things!!!
so long as there's no snow, i could really care less where we play...also, i look forward to proving (once again) that i'm much more valuable than a canadian and a six pack (no offense john)...how dare you trade me you sons of bitches!
None taken Joe - I know you are more valuable then a Canadian (me) but a six pack???? Now u r pushing it. lol
Another Idea is the we play a warmup 9 holes on Friday and then have the Official Tourney go for the rounds on Sat/Sun. That way everyone gets a look at the conditions up there in a more relaxed manner. I like the idea of only 1 rd/day as it will leave us with more time to hang with everyone and enjoy the company of more then just the people we are golfing with.
