Coptic Ryder Cup – June1 - June 4, 2010

Gentlemen,

We are confirmed for the Coptic Ryder Cup. I am waiting to confirm the rate. Each guy will need to call and make a $50 deposit in the next couple of weeks and pay the balance before the trip. Once I have finalized the rate I will send another email. The rate will be approx $230.

Gentlemen:

The date for the 2009 Coptic Ryder Cup has been set. It will be held on June 12 - June 14, 2009. The location will be determined soon.

CANADA WINS!!!!

I have been waiting to read about the Canadian Win at this year's Coptic Ryder Cup - but it looks like Mark has forgotten how to use a computer and update the blog. Here is the Update for you all.

Mark chokes in the final match and does not get the Match Win the USA needed to win the Cup!!!

I guess the count is still at 1 for the number of Canadians he screwed in the past month!!!!! (thx to an unnamed source for the last line).

Countdown to an ass whopping

Friends, Countrymen and our counterparts from Canadia.

In less than 3 days we will be representing our countries in a friendly competition on the glorious golf courses of North Michigan. OK. . . . . . . Sorry Canada, don't take the ass whopping that you will be receiving personal. . . . . its just a reminder of your inferior standing in the game of life. . . . . .

Here is a tenative schedule for the weekend

Friday Night. . . 2 pm - 7 pm Check-in and practice round. (Anyone wanting to play a practice round on friday afternoon, please contact the pro shop for Cedar River to schedule a tee time) The cost is not included as part of the package but there is a special rate of $45. Everyone MUST check in at the Summit Hotel . . . even if you are staying at the house which is about 10 minutes away. You will receive golf vouchers and the meal vouchers when you check in

7pm - 11pm Meet at the house, BBQ, introduction, and pairings.


Saturday Morning. . . . . . The Lakeside Dining room at the Summit will have breakfast beginning from 6:30 (they may have a breakfast buffet). All packages include two $10 vouchers to be used for food at the resort.

8:00 ARRIVE AT CEDAR RIVER READY TO PLAY at 8:30. . . . . We have tee times starting at 8:40am on Saturday morning at Cedar River (approx a 5 min drive from the Summit hotel or the house at Schuss Mountain). There is a practice facility, driving range and putting green, at Cedar River. ARRIVE EARLY AND BE READY TO PLAY. . . WE CAN NOT HAVE 6 HOUR ROUNDS ANYMORE. . . . the staff at the golf course is going to instruct you to skip holes if you do not keep up with the pace of play. PLAY READY GOLF. . . This is a scramble format. . . . .accept loosing a lot of balls. We have tee times from 8:40 to 9:40 the first group should finish no later than 1:20 and the last group should finish no later than 2:20

1:45 - 3:00 MEET AT CEDAR RIVER TO UPDATE SCORES. . . . . . .

3:30 - 4:30 Singles Matches at the Legend (the clubhouse for the Legend is located right outside the summit hotel. 9 hole singles match play. . . you can play as many holes as you want, the competition is only based on the first 9 holes. There are tee times made for guys who want to play but not in the competition.

7:30 - Meet at the house, Summary of scores, and Dinner.


Sunday Morning

Breakfast at the Lakeview Dining room begins at 6:30

8:00 Arrive at Cedar River . . . be prepared to start at 8:40 . . .Tee Times are begining at 8:50 until 9:40

1:30 - 2:30 . . .Meet at the lounge at Cedar River to finalize the scores and the trophy presentation.

The House and the Hotel rooms need to be empty by noon on Sunday.

We will be providing hamburgers, sausage, chili, steaks, beer, water, and pop.

As I stated on Saturday to Jarvis and Dan, I challenge any of the older team to an 18 hole match for the rights to get Fuji. Dan has accepted the challenge. Course yet to be determined. The match will take place sometime in May when I get feeling in my right hand again...haha


LVP Award(Least Valuable Player)

This award is in memory of Nader Hafzalla and will be given to the player who scores the least amount of points for his team. In Nader's two year reign on the Young Coptic Ryder Cup squad, he was unable to gain a single point but looked good doing it. Therefore, the winner will receive the Plaid Jacket which will be passed on for years to come.

Andy, As for us being AFRAID. . well, take a long honest look at your team. . . Juju is too busy picking flower arrangements and china patterns to think about golf, alfred spends 12 hours a week driving between here and lansing, mike bishay will have the bar exam on his mind. . your team will not be in great shape. . . do you guys even know what a putter looks like anymore? Your team has NO CHANCE. . . Accept it an move on. . . you are facing a bunch of guys that played in December and will start playing in April. The overconfidence of your team is amusing. . HAHA. As for the debate on Fuji, there is no debate, Alfred can't jackoff for at least 4 months, let alone hit a golf ball like he used to. Andy has enough chemicals in his body to be considered a "dirty bomb", and Mina Grace (not much to add there).

Juju - since you're here...

Comcast charged me 89.15 for the equipment they picked up. The bill said it was "Due upon receipt"--no pay by date. I called twice to confirm they received the box and remote. Each time the CSR said yes.

Next thing you know, I get a notice from a credit agency for the amount of 89.15. Please help. I don't want to deal with this for the next year.

Canadians in training...

I've discovered that the Canadians have taken a page out of last year's older team playbook. Yes, they have a theme song. But not just one...a collection if you will. Oh the humanity...and cheesy music.

DONKEYS WHO CAN NOT FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS

Today is April 9, 2008, and for nearly 2 months I have been reminding everyone to make their deposit for the Ryder Cup. So this morning I call Shanty Creek to see who has made their deposit. Much to my surprise, almost everyone made the deposit except for THREE. The funny thing is I sent an email to the guys from Detroit reminding them to make the deposit a couple of weeks ago and two of these monkeys replied to the email with sarcastic questions regarding my upcoming wedding but neither of them took the two minutes to call shanty creek and make the deposit.
