Voting on Spring Golf Trip

There are two choices for the Spring Golf Trip.

1. April 20-22

Where: Lakewood Shores
Cost: $124
What is included: 1 Night lodging in a hotel room and three rounds of golf (2 on sat & 1 on sun.)
Projected Schedule: Leave Friday night or sat. Morning return on Sunday night
Benefit: That is the same weekend as the girls weekend in Chicago . . . so some guys a free to go.
Negative: Earlier in the season (may be real cold)

2. May 4-6

Where: Boyne
Cost: $109 per person per night
What is included: 1 Night Lodging in a condo and two rounds of golf including a round on Bay Harbor (normally costs $160) and a second round on Crooked Tree or we could play Bay Harbor again if we wanted to. Plus breakfast.
Projected Schedule: Leave Friday, golf saturday, maybe spend the night saturday night and play the chief on sunday morning.
Benefit: Playing Bay Harbor and potentially better conditions. Maybe some of the girls want to come golfing this weekend with us.
Negative: I really can't think of any.

Since I tend to make decisions without consulting others, I have been advised to put this to a vote.

Spring Golf Trip - GREAT DEAL

Gentlemen:

We have an opportunity to play one of most expensive golf courses in the state of Michigan for a great price. Boyne has offered me a deal for $109 per night per person w/lodging at the condos that we stayed at on Labor Day 2005 (the newer one) for 4 people per condo, breakfast and unlimited golf without any surcharges on Bay Harbor (normally there is a $70-90 surcharge).

Here are the details that I got in the email:

Stay May 4th - 19th in a Disciples Village condominium at Boyne Mountain or the Heather Highlands Inn at Boyne Highlands for just $109 per person, per night, based on double/quad occupancy. Your spring package includes unlimited golf, no premium for playing The Heather or The Arthur Hills courses and no surcharge to play Bay Harbor Golf Club, breakfast, free range balls, plus a $25 gaming voucher to the new Odawa Casino (may be used at Victories Casino prior to the opening of the Odawa Casino).

Basically. . . its $84 (after the $25 voucher) for lodging, breakfast, and unlimited golf including golf on a course that is $150.

I have booked one condo and made tee-times for the morning of Saturday May 5 on Bay Harbor and Crooked Tree in the afternoon (Donald Ross is not open until the following weekend). If anyone else wants to get in on this deal. . . please leave a comment. I have put a 72 hour hold on the condos and the tee times.

We will probably play the chief or some other nearby course on Sunday morning.

I called A-Ga-Ming this morning to get an update on deposits (just to get an idea of who I need to remind). It appears that all of you are illiterate. FYI. . . the deposit is fully refundable until May 1, 2007.

I have some sad news for the younger team. . two of your team members have been banned from A-Ga-Ming. . . I guess Larry from A-Ga-Ming found this picture on Andy's blog and informed me that the two people in the picture below would NOT be permitted on the golf courses. I guess Larry is real right wing and using his words "does not want any Freaks" on his golf course or in the condos. For those of you who are not from Detroit that is Joe Messeiha aka Fuji freaking Joe Elias aka Juju aka Macing Bitches. Really just blame Andy. . he is the one who posted the pic. Sorry guys.

2. Saturday Afternoon - Singles Match Play - 4 pm Shotgun start - 6 - 8 matches (9 holes)
3. Sunday Morning - Two Man Best Ball - 9 am Shotgun start - 5 matches

There has been discussion with regards to the treatment of the Friday afternoon round. My anticipation is that some people are going to play Friday afternoon but not Saturday afternoon, and others because of their schedules will play 27 holes on Saturday. Therefore, the plan was to have some people play singles matches on Friday and others play the singles matches on Saturday. However, it appears that some do not want the Friday matches to count. My questions are as follows:

Spring Golf Trip

Lakewood Shores is having a special for the weekend of April 13-15. Three rounds of golf on any of the courses (Gailes or Blackshire) and one night lodging in hotel rooms (saturday night), for $120.20 all inclusive. The website is www.lakewoodshores.com. It is a week after Easter. If anyone is interested, please leave a comment. It may be a little cold but it would make a nice warm up for the Ryder Cup.

Brauts or bust?

I talked to a spokeman for A-ga ming today and they asked that the older team refrain from sticking brauts in each others assholes...They are asking that Brauts are only to be used for eating...Jarvis/Mark/Dan/Karim, etc...please adhere to these rules as we would like to come back next year
